Albion betting odds - Reading

BETVICTOR’S Charlie McCann gives his betting odds ahead of Brighton & Hove Albion’s match away to Reading on Sunday.

The Seagulls look to be back on track after an initial nervy start under new manager Oscar Garcia and, despite losing from winning positions in their first three games of the season against Leeds, Newport and Derby respectively, the gaffer has remained upbeat.

Consecutive wins against Birmingham and Burnley saw Brighton odds-on to get the better of a struggling Millwall side, however, despite dominating they had to rely on a last minute Leonardo Ulloa strike to rescue a point. Despite dominating throughout, they ran into a dogged and determined Lions team that took home a well-earned point.

Brighton have had a week to recover and regroup before they travel to The Madjeski stadium to face Reading on Sunday.

The Royals have looked in good nick thus far this season and remain one of the favourites for promotion. Despite only securing eight points from five games, they have played some good football and have been let down by their defence on more than once occasion, for example letting slip a 3-1 lead over Watford to draw 3-3.

As such, The Royals with their home advantage go into the game as even money favourites, while the Seagulls are the 29/10 outsiders and the draw 12/5. Both teams to score is 4/5 and looks great value with Brighton having netted in every game so far this season.

Reading look a side with plenty of firepower and ‘over 2.5 goals’ could be an entertaining punt, again at even money.

England manager Roy Hodgson was satisfied with England’s result and performance as they took a significant step towards next summer’s World Cup with a goalless draw against Ukraine in Kiev.

Hodgson’s side stay top of Group H and will qualify for Brazil if they win their final two Wembley qualifiers against Montenegro and Poland. England are now 1/3 favourites to top the group, with Ukraine 5/2, Montenegro 16/1 and Poland 150/1 and are also 1/20 to ensure a top two finish.

England are 1/12 to book their place to Brazil, 6/1 to have the summer off and remain 25/1 for World Cup glory in a market where the hosts remain 10/3 favourites. BetVictor have betting on every single player making the final squad and Rickie Lambert has been the best backed player of the week – Even money from 7/4 after starting both qualifiers against Moldova and Ukraine.

Finally this weekend at BetVictor we have out ‘BACK OF THE NET’ offer where if you place a 5-fold or more on the Both Teams To Score market and if one leg lets you down we will give you a free bet up to £25!

There looks to be plenty of chances of it kopping in The Premier League, with Everton hosting Chelsea at Goodison Park (5/6), Aston Villa and Newcastle at Villa Park (3/4) and

Spurs and Norwich at White Hart Lane (Evens) looking the three most likely. Throw in Burnley v Blackburn (4/5) and Bournemouth v Blackpool (3/4) in The Championship and it has the making of a nice little accumulator.
