Hyypia alluded to the possibility of fresh faces being added on deadline day but Vitalijs Maksimenko’s departure on loan was the only action of note for the Albion.

BetVictor remain convinced that a top-half finish is the very minimum that chairman Tony Bloom will require and make Brighton 4/7 to achieve that, while they are 5/4 to finish in the bottom 12.

Albion started the season well fancied at 5/2 to secure a top-six spot, but following their opening struggles they fell back to 5/1.

A late equaliser last time out saw Albion rescue a point at home to Charlton, which stretched their unbeaten run to four games.

Albion are away to Brentford this weekend and BetVictor have them priced at 9/5 to take all three points, while the hosts are 8/5 and the draw 9/4.

Brighton look excellent value against the home side, who have lost star player Scott Hagan, though they have started the season well. There looks to be plenty of value in Brighton to win and both teams to score at 5/1.
