AFC SHOREHAM boss Nigel Geary is hoping his side will be celebrating the league and cup double this season.
AFC Shoreham take on Pink Flamingos in the final of the Sussex FA Sunday Cup at Culver Road on Sunday (2pm) and are also on course to retain the Sussex Sunday League title.
This is the third year in a row the team have reached a cup final.
After winning the Sussex Sunday Trophy two seasons ago, they lost the final of the Sussex FA Sunday Cup 1-0 to White Hart last year, when they played with ten men for the second half.
Geary is hoping to get his hands on the cup this weekend and said: “Pink Flamingos are a good side, with a lot of good County League players, but we’ve got a good side, too.
“We have beaten them the last five times that we have played them but we know it is going to be a tough game.
“We missed a lot of chances when we lost the final last year and this is the competition that everyone in Sunday football wants to win. It’s pretty much the Champions League of Sunday football in Sussex.
“We’ve got a couple of players missing but have a big squad and have quality players we can call up.”
