“The scoreline flattered Henley and it’s just a shame that we dropped points in other fixtures throughout the season.

“However, the lads were all superb and I was very proud of the performance.

“It was our best performance of the season and I’m really excited about next year now.

“We’re really ambitious as a club and are going to strengthen in the summer. We’ve got players coming in and will have Joe Govett back as he’s been studying this year.

“We’re going to be pro-active in our recruitment and I’m really looking forward to next season.”

Raiders finish their season away to Old Elthamians on Saturday and Dawson said: “We’ll look to take this performance into Saturday and finish on a high to do ourselves a bit of justice, before we’ll go into next year full of optimism.”
