Sussex get their season underway

Sussex will be hoping to better their fourth-placed finish in the competition last year and Ed Joyce will captain the side, with Chris Nash his vice-captain.

The highlight of this season’s fixture list sees Australia travel to Hove for a three-day Tour match, which begins on July 26.

Sussex make their annual visit to Arundel Castle from June 12-16. They take on Surrey in the County Championship from June 12-15, before meeting Northamptonshire in the Yorkshire Bank 40 competition on June 16.

Sussex last week signed Andrew Miller on a one-year deal. The 25-year-old right-arm seamer was released by Warwickshire at the end of last season.
