SUSSEX County Cricket Club will entertain Surrey and Durham at Arundel Castle next year.

The fixtures for the 2015 season were released last week and Arundel Castle will host a T20 match between Sussex and Surrey on June 14, before Durham are the visitors for a County Championship Division 1 match from June 15 to 18.

Sussex’s season begins with a trip to local rivals Hampshire in the County Championship on April 12 and finishes away to Yorkshire in the Championship, from September 22 to 25.

Sussex chairman Jim May said: “We have an exciting fixture list and it is very pleasing that we have an even spread of home fixtures throughout the summer.

“Sussex is one of the few counties that hosts out-ground cricket and it remains vital that local residents and businesses support our festivals to ensure that we are able to continue playing at Arundel and Horsham.

“On the playing front, we have a very competitive squad. We have a number of players, including Matt Prior, returning from injury and they will be supplemented by our new signings, Ajmal Shahzad and Tymal Mills, under the excellent leadership of Ed Joyce.

“We are looking forward to the 2015 season with great optimism.”
