Worthing leg spinner Crane starred as he took three for three from his 3.2 overs, while Garton ended with figures of 2-18 in five overs, which included a double-wicket maiden.

Beaten quarter-finalists England were playing their first game since Sunday’s last-eight defeat to Sri Lanka.

After choosing to bat first, Jack Burnham struck his third century of the tournament (109) and Tom Moores hit 85 as England posted a score of 286 for nine in a rain-affected 48 over innings.

Crane was the star with the ball taking 3-3, while Garton chipped in with two as Namibia were bowled out for just 86 in reply.

England face Pakistan in a fifth-placed play-off encounter on Friday.
