County League round-up

SHOREHAM Football Club suffered a setback in their attempts to move away from the bottom off Division 1, when they lost 1-0 at home to bottom club Littlehampton on Saturday.

Stuart Bennett, with a penalty, scored the only goal on the stroke of half-time.

In Division 2, Mile Oak returned to winning ways with a 4-2 victory over promotion-chasing Wealden. Paul Eaton and Dave Ayre gave Oak a 2-0 lead but it was 2-2 at half-time. Wayne Whittington and Clive Jackson netted in the second period for Oak.

Steyning led 2-0 after just 11 minutes at St Francis before losing 3-2. Paul Schofield and James Pargeter netted for Steyning.

Southwick's match at Lingfield was postponed.
