SHOREHAM Football Club eased their relegation fears with a much-needed 3-0 victory at second-bottom Rye on Saturday.

Tom Smith gave Mussels a half-time lead, which was increased in the second period by Owen Callaghan then Darren Annis.

In Division 2, Paul Eaton's hat-trick helped Mile Oak to a comfortable 4-0 win at Storrington. Dave Ayre was also on target.

Lee Thompson's penalty gave Southwick a 1-1 draw at Peacehaven but Steyning Town went down 2-1 at Westfield. Simon Price netted Town's goal.
