Brighton Half Marathon place for £1

The Brighton Half Marathon registration deadline is fast approaching and Diabetes UK is now selling their last few places available for £1 for the event on 22 February.

Previously being sold for £25, Diabetes UK still has a few places left for the fundraising road running event which was has now become one of the most popular shorter distance sporting events in the country.

The 13.1-mile race route goes through some of the city’s most iconic sights starting on the seafront at the Brighton Marina and then takes in the city centre, Royal Pavilion and stretches of coastal road finishing at Madeira Drive, just east of the Brighton Pier.

Fiona Streeter, Diabetes UK events manager, said: “Running is a great way to keep physically active, which is really important for both preventing Type 2 diabetes and for helping to manage diabetes if you already have it.

“We want to encourage everyone – from complete novices to experienced runners – to take part in the Brighton Half Marathon. The money raised from The Brighton Half Marathon will help us to make a real difference to many people affected by diabetes.”

The registration deadline is January 18.
