Having been given a leaflet when visiting the recycling site in Wick, there are proposals being made to alter/change certain areas to the site in a bid to save money.
Firstly, has WSCC thought about the workers’ plight by reducing hours?
They are going to lose money, with more suffering to be endured by hard working staff.
My other gripe, which is actually not against the WSCC, is trailers.
The majority of drivers do not know how to reverse. Hence they take up three parking bays.
There is therefore no consideration shown to other users of the site. Most trailers are being towed and the break lights do not work.
These are usually home made trailers.
So I whole heartedly agree, give them a bigger site.
Charging for bags of soil and hardcore etc is open to abuse.
