I walked up to Steep Down Hill the other day and enjoyed the view east.
There was the old cement works, a huge hole in the Downs large enough to take any IKEA box and redevelop this brownfield site.
The new road for Rampion cables also stands out.
Maybe this could be used for a bridleway/cycle route?
Surfacing the track with appropriate material and planting hedges or trees would soon blend in with the landscape.
Just a thought!
