LETTER: Concern over housing plans

You recently interviewed a group of people who are very concerned about air pollution levels in Shoreham town centre, due to increased traffic which, inevitably, leads to poor health conditions.

I would like to add my fears that the proposed housing development under the Adur Local Plan will undoubtedly create more traffic and pollution and Adur District Council should give this matter serious consideration before such decisions are taken.

I have lived in Shoreham for 12 years and cannot believe how much extra traffic is being generated. I appreciate more homes need to be built but not to the detriment of people’s health.

I strongly feel this matter should be given as much coverage as possible to raise awareness of the situation.
