Whoever dreamed up the latest pie in the sky ideas for the cement works – ie no cars on site just park at the entrance and take a bus to your house – has never wrestled with six bags of shopping, a grumpy toddler and a baby in a buggy to get their shopping home, let alone have to get it out of the car, onto the bus (after goodness knows how long a wait having used park and ride at plenty of places myself), back off the bus and into the house?
Is the park and ride going to run at 11pm and midnight and be gone for shift workers coming home, and 3am for people leaving to catch an early flight for their holidays?
And that’s just for starters. How are 2,200 cars going to exit the site in the morning when it’s time to go to work? Do these people live in the real world, or even know where this place is?
