The letter from Mr K Hunter (letters, February 25) was right.
I know it would cost more to lengthen the proposed swimming pool but it would make sense.
If while they were at it, a 50-meter swimming pool were constructed, it would eventually pay for itself as did the demolition of seafront shelters and the long seat.
As Mr Hunter said, if a 50-meter pool was built by cutting off the 25 meters required by the clubs, the reminder could be used by the public thus increasing the revenue to the council and us.
