A 29-flat residential development on Worthing seafront has been approved by the planning committee.
The proposed Roffey Homes development on the corner of Grand Avenue and West Parade, which rises to a maximum of eight storeys, was approved by Worthing Borough Council's planning committee tonight.
Hundreds of residents had opposed previous plans for the site by the same developers last year.
But officer Peter Devonport wrote in his report that the new designs had taken on board 'a key lesson' by 'substantially reducing the height and downscaling the massing of the proposed new block'.
A full report of the meeting will be available tomorrow.
