Following an emergency call just after 6.10am, three appliances from Worthing and additional crews from Lancing, Littlehampton and Hove were sent to Ardington Hotel in Steyne Gardens.
A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said there were no casualties and crews had left the scene by 7.20am.
