Woman found guilty of benefit fraud

A SHOREHAM resident was overpaid by more than £10,000 in benefits, having failed to tell the council she was employed for two years.

Ms Sophie Majer, of Mercury House, Ham Road, Shoreham, claimed housing and council tax benefit and job seekers allowance but did not tell either Census or the department that she was employed by, a recruitment company, for just over a two year period between September 2011 and October 2013.
