Which is your favourite picture of a perfect palace?

IT was a tough challenge but having sifted through more than 2,500 entries we now have our 10 finalists in the Paint a Palace for a Queen competition.

Michael Jones estate and letting agents launched the children’s art competition in conjunction with the Herald and Gazette and we have been amazed by the response.

We asked children aged four to seven and eight to 12 to design a new palace for the Queen to help her celebrate her diamond jubilee. And, the thousands of children who entered have come up with some really exciting creations, making the judging decision for the top 10 extremely difficult.

Herald and Gazette content editor Nicola Caines worked with Michael Jones and Tania Fensom from Michael Jones to select the top 10 entries. But now we need your votes to find the winners.

The winning picture in each age category will win a fabulous day out in London, either visiting Buckingham Palace or going on a London Duck Tours sightseeing tour of the city.

There is also a £100 token to spend on art supplies for the school which submitted the most entries.

The winners will all be announced next week.

Watch the slideshow to see all the entries and cast your vote using the coupon printed in today’s Herald and Gazette (Thursday, May 17 edition).

The deadline is noon on Wednesday, May 23.
