Weather warning as rain and wind set to batter South East

Yellow weather warnings have been issued with heavy rain and strong winds set to hit the South East today (Saturday February 6).

The Met Office said the region could be affected by persistent, heavy rain between 6am and 10pm.

In addition, a warning for strong winds is in place between 11am and 11.45pm.

Drivers have been warned of possible disruption on the roads and urged to take extra care in the windy conditions.

The Met Office added there is a risk of some localised flooding in parts of the area.
