Sussex weather forecast for Friday

Sussex is expected to have a mix of weather today (Friday, May 1) as lunchtime rain is forecasted to turn into evening sunshine across the county.

The sun is expected to make an appearance in the east at 4pm, according to the Met Office, until 8pm and temperatures are predicted to reach up to 14C degrees - but feel more like 11C degrees.

In the west, the Met Office expects the sun to be out from 5pm until 8pm, with temperatures also reaching up to 14C degrees - but feeling more like 11C degrees.

According to the Met Office, the east of the county will be cloudy from 7am to 12pm and will then turn to light showers until 3pm. In the west, the Met Office expects sunny intervals between 7am and 10am, with the weather changing to overcast at 11am and then to light showers between 12pm and 2pm.

In both the east and west a clear night’s sky is expected after the sunshine, which will be between 9pm and 11pm.

The Met Office said winds in the west are expected to reach up to 29mph, and in the east 27mph, between 3pm and 5pm.

Sunrise was at 5.32am and will set at 8.22pm, according to the Met Office.
