Sussex set for changeable weather after 'sunniest month on record'

A mixed bag of weather is expected across Sussex today with rain, clouds and smatterings of sunshine.

According to the Met Office, Sussex residents can expect residual outbreaks of rain in the east but sunnier conditions moving in from the west.

Cloud will develop during the afternoon with occasional showers, but the temperature is expected to remain fairly high, with maximums of 18 degrees Celsius.

Weather will remain unsettled into the evening, with heavier showers in the east but drier in the west.

A minimum temperature of seven degrees Celsius is predicted.
