Waste collection arrangements

There will be no collections on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day. Normal collection days will then change, to allow for the bank holidays.

Excess waste left outside the wheelie bins in the Adur district will be taken up to and including January 6.

The last green bin collection of garden waste in Adur will take place on Christmas Eve. Collections will resume on Monday, January 13.

Real Christmas trees will be collected from Monday, January 13, and should be placed out next to wheelie bins.

In the Horsham district, additional blue-topped bin recycling collections will be scheduled to deal with the festive packaging.

Householders are encouraged to use the personalised collection calendar at www.horsham.gov.uk/bincalendar to find their collection days.

Brown-topped bin collections for green garden waste will be suspended from Christmas and resume on Wednesday, January 8.
