Warning for Albion fans and rail users

Albion fans heading to the play-offs at Falmer tonight (May 16) are advised to arrive early, as disruption is expected on Southern rail services.

Brighton and Hove Albion host Sheffield Wednesday tonight, with kick-off at 7.45pm.

A spokesperson for Brighton and Hove Albion said, “The club are advising fans that there may be disruptions to rail services and should anticipate a reduced service from that of a usual matchday operation.

“We are advising supporters to either arrive early if arriving by train, look at bus alternatives including Albion’s official travel partner Seagull Travel, or to utilise the club’s park and ride facility.”

The club said supporters should use the park and ride facility at Brighton Racecourse, which will be open from 5pm, or the Lewes Road site, which has a temporary entrance because of building works.

Parking at Sussex University is sold out, Bridge Car Park has ‘limited availability’.
