WALK into Southwick’s history with an illustrated heritage talk.
The event on Saturday starts at Manor Cottage Heritage Centre, in Southwick Street, at 2.30pm.
Southwick Society secretary Nigel Divers will then lead a gentle stroll through the town, looking at some of the old buildings and telling their stories.
People will be able to see the surviving remains of the ship building yard and the sites of lost farms, shops and workshops.
Mr Divers said: “The event follows on from the recent successful Last Summer of Peace exhibition and talk about Southwick in the summer of 1914 and will be visiting many of the places featured.
“This is the ideal opportunity to find out more about Southwick’s past. The walk will last about two hours and will be on mainly level ground in the centre of the town.”
There is no charge but donations towards the upkeep of the Manor Cottage Heritage Centre are welcome.
