THOUSANDS of people turned out to watch the annual Rotary Carnival procession on Monday (August 29).
The parade featured hundreds of performers, some walking, some on floats, all of whom delighted the crowds.
Featuring in the procession were the newly-crowned Rotary Carnival prince and princess, Rhyce Goodwin and Ruby Souter, who rode in an open-top car, while mayor Ann Barlow and fellow councillors rode in the top deck of an open-top bus.
Monday’s parade started at Grand Avenue, and took around an hour to snake its way along Marine Parade to Steyne Gardens, where there were family activities taking place for the rest of the day.
