The Railway Touring Company, which organises the steam trips, has had to cancel the annual Bath Christmas Market steam tour, which is usually held in December with pick-ups in Worthing and Hove.

The company said the trip could not take place this December “due to operational reasons outside The Railway Touring Company’s control”.

A spokesman said it was not possible to bring the stock to Three Bridges from where the train was to start.
