CHILDREN at Shoreham Beach Primary School in Shingle Road took part in a number of fundraising activities for Sport Relief this year.
The pupils ran a mile around the streets of Shoreham Beach dressed up in sports clothing, accompanied by staff and parents.
Then at lunchtime they had a sports dance-off, followed by a bake-off.
Deputy head teacher Coco Swanson said the students had watched a video on the Sport Relief website about a 10-year-old boy called Daniel from Ghana who has to work in a gold mine as well as go to school.
“Lots of children have said they want to do something to help,” she said.
“It’s made an impact on them and I’m very proud.”
