Thunder and lightning lit up the sky for much of yesterday evening (Friday, July 24) but it was the heavy rain and high wind that caused the most damage.

In Gorse Avenue, Worthing, a tree was blown down by the gales, landing on top of a parked car at around 1am this morning.
