A FALLEN tree blocked Dog Lane in Steyning this morning.

Police were called to Steyning at 4.10am due to a tree which had fallen down in the early hours of the morning.

Highways were contacted and began to remove the tree.

Springwells Hotel on the corner of Dog Lane said that they had heard chainsaws going all morning.
