The nine-year-old male crossbreed will happily greet and interact with people and will try to lay across their lap when possible.

Solomon needs to be the only pet in the home and is not keen on other dogs generally, so will need to be walked in quiet areas.

Solomon cannot live with cats, chickens or small furry creatures but can share a home with children aged 12-plus.

Tracey Rae, rehoming officer at Dogs Trust Shoreham, said: “It’s best if his walking is left to adults. This handsome chap needs his own garden so that he can stretch his legs at home.

“As a lad who loves his food, Solomon works for his treats – he already knows how to do a good sit, give both paws and is even learning to ‘speak’ on command.

“This clever boy would benefit from some basic attention training to help him cope with dogs he may see at a distance.”

Squeaky toys and a good game of tug are big hits with Solomon.
