The German wire-haired pointer is looking for an adult-only home without visiting children. The three-year-old’s shy nature means a quieter lifestyle without too many visitors would be best.

Tracey Rae, rehoming centre manager at Dogs Trust Shoreham, said: “This loveable chap would like his owners to be patient and take things slowly while he settles. He would also benefit from continued positive reward-based training.

“This endearing character would love a garden to play in. Four-legged friends can help Otty feel more confident, so he could potentially live with a canine chum who can show him the ropes, although he is unable to live with cats or small furries.”
