The owners had to leave the 13-year-old in the care of Dogs Trust when they moved.

Tracey Rae, rehoming centre manager, said: “She is finding life a little strange just now as she is missing the home she has been in since being a puppy.

“She sadly came into our care as her owners were moving and couldn’t take her with them.

“Kelsey is a real sweetheart who is currently enjoying some home comforts in a foster home but would really like a forever family to call her own.”

Kelsey is comfortable around teens aged 14-plus, is unable to live with cats or caged animals but could possibly live with a calm and steady dog.

A garden is essential so Kelsey can mooch around and lay in the sun on warm days.

Tracey added: “Being an older lady, she does suffer from arthritis and would love her new home to have lots of carpet so she can move around easily. A house or bungalow would be ideal rather than a flat as she can be chatty at times and likes to talk to you.

“She would love someone around lots for company and perhaps only being left alone whilst you pop to shops.”

Kelsey is housetrained, enjoys gentle walks and really enjoys having a fuss and a cuddle with people.
