Luka is happiest when with someone and female company helps the labrador cross to feel most at ease.
The two-year-old male is looking for a home with teens aged 14-plus and at least one woman living at home.
Tracey Rae, rehoming centre manager at Dogs Trust Shoreham, said: “He is a real sweetie who is at his happiest when he has someone around for company.
“Once he is comfortable with you he will lay with you for a cuddle and will nudge you to continue stroking him should you dare to stop. The more time you spend with him the more his fun character will shine through.
“He would like his own enclosed garden so he has an area to relax in. He would also like to be the only dog in his new home as he is unsure how to interact with other dogs.”
Quiet walking areas and continued training to teach Luka to be calm around other dogs will be needed.
