Baxter loves company but is shy of new people at first.
The six-year-old male Jack Russell terrier enjoys chilling in an armchair.
Games with toys are also popular and Baxter is more than happy to play alone or go fetch multiple toys.
Tracey Rae, Shoreham rehoming centre manager, said: “Baxter can be shy of new people but once you have made friends with him, he is a real sweetie and you will see his fun side.
“He is such a sweet chap and will bring his owners lots of joy.
“It can take Baxter a little while to settle in new environments, so he is looking for understanding owners that lead a quiet life and who will allow him to get to know his surroundings gradually.”
Baxter is comfortable around young adults aged 16-plus and would like a secure garden to play in.
