VIDEO: Adur Local Plan public consultation launched

THE Adur Local Plan is a new plan which will provide a strategy for development in Adur up to 2031.

It seeks to achieve a balance in meeting needs for development, such as housing, employment, retail and community facilities, while striving to protect and enhance the character and features of Adur that so many peope value.

The plan, formulated by Adur District Council, will play an important part in the regeneration of the area, through indicating key sites and strategic locations for new development.

People in the district now have the chance to have their say on the Adur Local Plan. The six-week public consultation gets underway on Thursday.

Where to see the plan –

September 26 until October 11: Shoreham Community Centre, Pond Road, Shoreham. Note, it will be staffed on Wednesday, October 2, 9am to midday.

October 12, 8am to 1pm: Shoreham Farmers’ Market, East Street, Shoreham.

October 14 to 25: Souhtwick Community Centre, Southwick Street, Southwick. Note, it will be staffed on Wednesday, October 16, 9am to 1pm.

October 28 to November 7: Adur Civic Centre, Ham Road, Shoreham.

Residents are urged to view the plan in advance at www.adur-worthing.gov.uk/adur-local-plan-consultation and use the official response forms to make comments.
