Van alight on A27 near Holmbush

A VAN has been found ablaze on the hard shoulder of the A27 near the Holmbush turnoff.

A fire crew from Shoreham was called to the scene at 11:30am after a passer-by spotted the vehicle.

The fire was quickly extinguished using a breathing apparatus and hose reels.

The cause of the fire is unknown although believed to be accidental.

No-one at the scene was hurt.

A crew is currently on the hard shoulder assisting police with the matter.
