UPDATE: Trains running but expect delays

TRAINS are now running again after a person was struck by a train at East Worthing.

The incident happened shortly after 6am today and led to services between Worthing and Brighton being stopped.

The line was opened a short while ago, but commuters have been warned delays may continue.

A statement on National Rail’s website reads: “The line has now reopened, but because of this, there are residual delays of up to 60 minutes between Brighton and Worthing. These delays will continue until further notice.”
