UPDATE: Girl, 3, released from hospital after Sompting crash

Police say a three-year-old girl has been released from hospital after being hit by a car in Sompting.

The incident happened around 4.20pm in Abbey Road yesterday (August 19) Sompting crash

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “The girl was kept in hospital overnight and released on the morning of August 20.

“She suffered no serious injuries.”

Police said the vehicle was still at the scene when they arrived and no arrests had been made.
