TRAVEL: Congestion chaos hits A27

CONGESTION along the A27 is causing travel chaos for hundreds of motorists this afternoon (Friday, June 6).

Traffic is slow-moving in Arundel at the A27 Crossbush junction due to a broken down tanker partially blocking the road.

Meanwhile, motorists travelling east from Shoreham along the A27 are being urged to avoid the Dyke Road and A23 interchanges.

It comes after a motorcyclist and car crashed, earlier this afternoon, shortly before 4pm.

The motorcyclist received a serious head injuries but his condition is not assessed as life-threatening at this time.

Two of the three lanes of the eastbound carriageway are currently closed and police are advising drivers are advised to avoid the eastbound A27 west of the collision if possible.
