West Sussex travel: Delays on A259 and A27 after road incidents
Road traffic incidents have been reported near Goring-by-Sea and Arundel this morning (Monday, March 22).
Two vehicles have reportedly been involved in a collision on A259 Goring Street between A280 Angmering Bypass (Blue Star Roundabout) and A2032 Littlehampton Road (Goring Crossways).
Traffic is said to be coping well and police are en-route to the scene.
Elsewhere in West Sussex, there are reports of slow traffic near Arundel, due to a stalled vehicle on A27 Lyminster Road westbound near A284 (Crossbush Junction).
There is said to be queuing traffic on A27 eastbound towards Chichester and in Fishbourne.
'Very slow moving' traffic has also been reported on the A259 between the Oving roundabout and the A27 Chichester Bypass.
'It is essential to pay 100 per cent attention'
As the weather gets warmer, Sussex Police has urged road users to look after themselves and each other.
The force said: “Improving weather, the clocks springing forward next weekend and the imminent easing of Covid restrictions are all likely to lead to an increase of traffic on the roads, prompting roads policing officers to appeal to all road users to take care and to look out for others.”
Sergeant Huw Watts from the Surrey and Sussex Roads Policing Unit said: “There has been less traffic on the road in recent months due to the lockdown and chances are that people will be taking to the roads again a little rusty in their driving skills. This means that it is essential to pay 100 per cent attention."
