UPDATE: Roads cleared of '˜shed load' but delays remain

Both lanes on the A27 eastbound have been cleared after a '˜shed load' from a lorry caused severe delays between Lancing and Shoreham.

Traffic was stopped along the A27 eastbound between Lancing and Shoreham due to a shed load from a lorry.

A spokesperson for Highways England said bricks fell off the back of a lorry just before 3pm.

The Herald earlier received a report describing the traffic as ‘gridlocked’.

No injuries have been reported.

Both lanes have now been cleared, according to a tweet from Highways England, and delays should start to ease.
