Police were alerted to the incident by the Sussex Pad traffic traffic lights at 3.08pm today (Tuesday, June 27), a spokesperson said. Traffic was being diverted from the eastbound carriage, police said. The road has now been cleared but traffic in the area is still moving slowly.
