Sussex travel bulletin for Saturday, July 25

Due to an ongoing police incident in Hastings, the road is closed in Deepdene Gardens both ways between Frederick Road and Waterside Close.

The AA reports that the road is shut due to resurfacing work on B2159 Battle Road both ways from A2100 The Ridge West to Blackman Avenue in St Leonards.

A road closure is also in place due to construction work on A2100 London Road both ways between A21 Vinehall Road and Robertbridge Gypsum Mine Access Road.

Construction work has also shut Sandhurst Lane both ways from Coneyburrow Lane to A259 Barnhorn Road in Bexhill.

A lane is closed due to construction on the A27 Polegate Bypass both ways between Brown Jack Avenue and A22 Polegate Road (Cophall Roundabout), the AA reports.

Motorists are advised to approach with care due to a traffic light failure on A23 Old Steine at B2066 St James’s Street in Brighton.

There is a road closure in place due to water main work on B2165 both ways between Watts Palace Lane and Watermill Lane. near Beckley and Northiam.

Gas main work has shut the road on College Road both ways from Corsica Road to Cricketfield Road in Seaford

On the trains Southern services between London Victoria and Three Bridges and Bognor Regis are affected by engineering works.

Work is taking place this evening and tomorrow (Sunday, July 26) between Purley and Gatwick Airport, closing various lines.

Between 11pm tonight and until 8.45am tomorrow, and from 11.30pm tomorrow night until 4am on Monday morning (July 27), trains will have journey times slightly extended.
