Train services have been disrupted this evening due to trespassers on the railway at Worthing.

Southern Rail warned that services running through the station would be cancelled or delayed.

The emergency services were called to the scene.

A spokesman said: “For safety reasons, trains in the area are at a stand and this is causing significant delays.

“The emergency services are making their way to the station to assist with the situation.”

At 7.15pm, Southern Rail confirmed that the disruption had come to an end.
