BREAKING NEWS: Teenager in hospital after crash on A27 at Lancing

A TEENAGE boy is in hospital following a crash on the A27 at Lancing today (Tuesday, March 6).

Emergency services were called to the eastbound carriageway of the A27, near the Sir Robert Woodard Academy, at 4.45pm.

A car and a 14-year-old boy had been in collision.

The boy was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital by air ambulance.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “The initial assessment is that his injuries are believed to be serious.

“There is no report of the car driver being injured.”

Both carriageways were closed at the time of the accident.

Road policing officers are examining the scene.
