A27 closed due to car collision, causing long delays back to Shoreham

According to traffic reports, the eastbound carriageway of the A27 has been closed due to a collision involving two cars at the Portslade and West Hove turn-off, which was first reported just after 9am.

There is a detour in operation, via the exit and entry slip roads. Sussex Police is at the scene.

Sussex Police said: "Police responded to a road traffic collision involving two cars on the A27 at Portslade at 8.55am. Officers attended and there were no injuries. The road was closed while one of the vehicles was recovered, and has now reopened.
