Traffic news: Evening round up on October 1

The accident involving a motorbike on the M27 has caused traffic to back up beyond Emsworth on the westbound carriageway. Drivers looking to divert via Havant and Bedhampton have found many others with the same idea causing further congestion along these roads.

The Chichester bypass is now looking fairly clear, with a slight amount of congestion around the Bognor roundabout, although traffic is still moving.

Around Shoreham, traffic is slow moving westbound between the A283 Steyning Road junction and the A2025 Grinstead Lane junction.

Worthing town centre remains busy along the A259, with slow traffic in both directions.
