The members of folk trio, Emily and the Hares – Chris Hare, Emily Longhurst and Ann Feloy, taught 80 people the songs at monthly workshops, in the Beechwood Hall Hotel, Whykeham Road, Worthing.

Ann, said: “These traditional songs were sung for centuries by local people in this part of the world but had almost been forgotten. Now a new generation have learnt them and are singing them at music festivals and events across Sussex and Hampshire.”

“The songs are an important part of our cultural heritage.”
