Things got decidedly “hairy” for the staff at Advance Helicopters, based at Shoreham Airport, when they took part in Movember.
The charity, which raises both money and awareness for male cancers, had a great response from the public and celebrities alike.
James Morrey, partner at the firm, said: “We thought this was a great cause to get involved with. We got a team of seven people together, including some current and past students, as well as other pilots, like John Davies from Helifly.
“We set up a Movember Facebook page and all posted the various stages of our attempts.
“It not only helped to raise funds and awareness for the charity but it was also a fun social event for the company, too. We kept followers on our Twitter account up to date, too.
“For a small company, we’re very proud that we’ve raised nearly £1,100.”
You can still donate via the company’s Movember Facebook page. Go to www.advancehelicopters.com, and see the news page for the link to all the Movember photos, updates and donation page.
Spencer Phillips, co-owner of Advance Helicopters, said the company offers trial helicopter lessons, tailored to each individual and for any length of time from 20 minutes up to an hour.
